Natural Home Partners with The National Kitchen and Bath Association for Green Design Program and Courses
TOPEKA, Kansas (May 3, 2007) – Natural Home magazine – the nation’s leading resource for creating natural, healthy homes – has signed a multi-year partnership with the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) to support the NKBA’s Green Design Program and Courses.
As part of the partnership, Natural Home will provide educational information, resources and research to the NKBA and its participating members.
The NKBA Green Design Chapter Program and Courses address green from a residential standpoint for the kitchen and bath designer, focusing on four major areas of sustainable design and conservation: water, energy, materials, and air quality.
Participants, including contractors and designers, will become familiar with specific products that make sense and work toward balance in the natural home. The course provides a systematic approach to meeting the client’s desire to have an environmentally sensitive design without compromising the integrity of the whole house design.
“Green living is not just a consumer choice; it also involves builders and designers who can understand and advocate for the life-time impact green living has on consumers and their communities,” said Robyn Griggs Lawrence, editor of Natural Home. “The NKBA’s educational course will go a long way toward making this a reality, and we’re delighted to partner with them in this endeavor.”
Kitchen and bath industry professionals may call NKBA Customer Service at 800-THE-NKBA for more information on Experience Green and other NKBA education courses.
