Natural Home magazine launches green product line
Environmentally friendly products offer style and function
TOPEKA, Kan. (June 23, 2008) – Natural Home magazine today launches a branded line of environmentally friendly kitchenware and cleaning products. The line features serving platters, bowls and pitchers created from 100 percent recycled glass and an assortment of utensils, cutting boards and cleaning items made from bamboo.
Natural Home will donate a portion of each purchase to the nonprofit American Forests, a world leader in planting trees for environmental restoration. Prices range from $4.99 – 59.99. All products are available at www.NaturalHomeMagazine.com/products or (800) 340-5846. Ogden Publications, Natural Home’s publisher, also expects to announce retail distribution outlets by the end of 2008.
“They’re beautiful and environmentally friendly. These are products you can feel good about bringing into your home,” said Natural Home editor-in-chief Robyn Griggs Lawrence.
Natural Home representatives have overseen the entire production process to ensure the products are eco-friendly. The company selected Germany’s TÜV Rheinland Group to perform product testing, based on the facility’s more rigorous approval process. All products surpassed TUV and European Union environmental standards.
Designed with the discerning consumer in mind, the Natural Home product line maximizes style and function while taking advantage of natural, extremely durable materials.
All Natural Home glassware consists of 100 percent post-consumer glass that would otherwise end up in landfills.
Bamboo reaches maturity in just four years without the use of pesticides or chemicals, creating one of nature’s more sustainable resources. Furthermore, its density makes it naturally water-resistant, which inhibits germs and bacteria. The bristles of the bamboo cleaning products contain the leafy stock of the Palmyra tree, another sustainable resource.
