The company’s philosophy is rooted in Ayurveda, which combines natural therapies with a balanced approach to overall health and well-being. Although taste is an important factor in Yogi teas, the company makes its products with natural health in mind. From clearing your airways during a cold to promoting healthy liver and kidney function, Yogi teas are good for your health.

The original Yogi tea was created by Yogi Bhajan, founder of the company and teacher of holistic living, using only five ingredients: cardamom seed, cinnamon bark, clove bud, ginger root and black pepper. Many of the teas today still incorporate those five spices, but the line has been greatly expanded to include a long list of other ingredients, which you can find on Yogi’s Ingredients page along with a short description of each spice, herb or ingredient’s healing properties.

Yogi teas are 100 percent natural, and some of the teas are also USDA certified organic. The company also uses eco-friendly packaging. The teas are placed in bags that are oxygen-bleached, sewn with cotton string and stapled with inert metal. Yogi teas are also shipped in 100 percent recycled cardboard containers.
