Earth Day has come a long way from its “hippie holiday” beginnings. Today, cities and towns across the globe celebrate with everything from musical performances and organic food to information booths and volunteering opportunities. Earth Day festivities offer fun and education for hard-core environmentalists, beginners and everyone in between. Look for activities in your area the weekends before and after Earth Day on April 22.
