Two-thirds of U.S. citizens don’t think enough land is being preserved as wilderness, according to a recent poll conducted for the Campaign for America’s Wilderness. Seventy-one percent of randomly chosen registered voters believe at least 10 percent or more of U.S. land should be sanctioned as protected wild lands. This finding cuts across all boundaries of political parties, regional areas, socioeconomic ranges, races, genders, and religions. What can you do?
