Sustainable Pet Design offers homes for Fido replete with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) wood, zero-VOC paint, beeswax waterproofing and a rooftop garden. Sustainable Pet Design owner Stephanie Rubin conceived of the healthy pet homes after she lost her dog to cancer. Her company custom-builds each house using untreated red cedar from FSC-managed forests, which helps repel fleas, ticks and termites.
